Tule kuuntelemaan Beatlesin koko elinkaari vinyyliltä, viimeisestä äänitteestä ensimmäiseen, parinkymmenen näytteen kautta. Mihin Beatles päätyi vuosikymmenen kestäneellä vauhdikkaalla ja vallankumouksellisella urallaan, ja mikä oli lähtökohta? Mitkä seikat vaikuttivat laulujen syntyyn ja miksi ne muokkautuivat sellaisiksi kuin olemme ne tottuneet kuulemaan? Jokaisella laululla on tarinansa. Singlejä sekä LP-levyjä soittaa ja tarinaa kertoo ”Professori” Ramberg.

Beatles-päivää vietetään vuosittain kesäkuun 25. päivä yhtyeen fanien keskuudessa. Päivämäärä valikoitui, koska sinä päivänä vuonna 1967 lähetettiin ensimmäinen suora satelliittilähetys, Our World, kautta maailman. Ohjelmassa esiintyi lukuisia artisteja yhteensä 19 eri maasta, ja sitä katsoi arviolta noin 400 miljoonaa ihmistä ympäri maailman. Ohjelman viimeisen numeron esitti Beatles kappaleellaan ”All You Need Is Love”.

FROM THE END TO THE BEGINNING OF THE BEATLES

Come listen to the entire lifecycle of The Beatles on vinyl, from their last recording to their first, through about twenty samples. Where did The Beatles end up after their decade-long, fast-paced, and revolutionary career, and what was their starting point? What factors influenced the creation of their songs, and why did they evolve into what we are accustomed to hearing? Every song has its story. Singles and LPs will be played, and stories will be told by ”Professor” Ramberg.

Beatles Day is celebrated annually on June 25th among the band’s fans. The date was chosen because on that day in 1967, the first live satellite broadcast, Our World, was transmitted worldwide. The program featured numerous artists from a total of 19 different countries and was watched by an estimated 400 million people around the world. The final number of the program was performed by The Beatles with their song ”All You Need Is Love.”
