Our main venues Sibelius Hall and Lahti Sports and Fair Centre are located within a 15 minutes walk from the city centre hotels.

Sibelius Hall
The impressive wooden concert and congress centre in Lahti Harbour, on the Vesijärvi waterfront.
Sibelius Hall combines industrial history with modern, wooden architecture. Its beautiful Main Hall is known internationally for its excellent acoustics. In addition to being
an oval-shaped concert hall, the Main Hall serves as a meeting and conference facility, providing an atmospheric setting.
Capacity: up to 1,100 persons
Forest Hall is the heart of Sibelius Hall, combining its various sections. The view over Lake Vesijärvi makes Forest Hall a unique exhibition and trade fair facility throughout
the year.
Capacity: up to 1,500 persons
The Congress Wing has five versatile meeting facilities for 20–140 people, all with beautiful views over the lake, into the setting sun.
Carpenter’s Hall and Carpenter’s Workshop, as well as the sauna section, provide additional capacity for events and meetings. Carpenter’s Hall serves as a banquet or
concert venue as well.

Lahti Fair Centre
The Lahti Sports and Fair Centre consists of four halls with a total area of 20,000 square metres. The Fair Centre is located in the Lahti Sports Centre, in a walking distance from the city centre. The halls are suitable for trade fairs, exhibitions, concerts, conferences, meetings and corporate and customer events, as well as television productions. The facilities are suitable for events for up to 10,000 people.
In addition to providing a setting for a broad range of trade fairs, the Lahti Fair Centre has served as the media centre for an EU summit and a venue for major corporate events. During the 2017 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships, the Fair Centre will serve as the media facilities and the Festival Arena for VIP guests.
Yearly Lahti Fair Centre serves as a venue for popular trade fairs, such as Caravan Finland, the largest fair in its field in the country, as well as the Classic Motor Show and
Nordic Fitness Expo.

Lahti Concert Hall
Lahti Concert Hall is one of the most significant landmarks in Lahti city centre. Completed in 1954 and renovated and expanded in 2014–2016, the Lahti Concert Hall has received a new stylish look after the renovation – respecting its origin from 1950s.
The magnificent and bright Felix Krohn Hall can accommodate 580 people. There are also two smaller meeting rooms for 40 and 80 persons.
The foyer, which cherishes the spirit of the 1950s, is an excellent space not only for temporary catering but also for various cocktails and private events. There is also a separate Restaurant Hulda available.

Solo Sokos Hotel Lahden Seurahuone
A high-class conference hotel located by the main street ín the city centre of Lahti.
Seurahuone offers meeting rooms of different sizes and for different occasions, from small spaces for a few people to spaces for up to 200 people. Seurahuone is located in the same building with Finnkino Kuvapalatsi movie centre which has six halls for 90-350 persons.
Seurahuone offers high-quality accommodation for 455 persons. The new rooms in Seurahuone Loft House offer a variety of unique rooms – some of the rooms are two-storey loft style rooms, some have a terrace opening to an indoor garden.
University Campus and Isku Center
10-1200 seats
A multipurpose campus area and space for exbibitions, meetings and congresses. A campus for 5,000 students of LUT University, Helsinki University and LAB University of Applied Sciences. These functional business premises have been modernized from the old furniture factory – nowadays Isku furniture company’s Showroom offers a unique venue for e.g. get-togethers and cocktail parties.

The diverse accommodation capacity in the Lahti region ranges from an elegant city center hotel to atmospheric manor accommodation. The Lahti region also has two official Olympic Training Centers offering accommodation capacity also for bigger congresses.
There are almost 1,400 beds in hotel-level accommodation in Lahti and 4,000 beds within a 20-60 minute drive from Lahti city centre.

Hotels in Lahti city centre
There are altogether six hotels and 1400 beds in Lahti city centre, in a walking distance from the main venues of Lahti.
For example Solo Sokos Hotel Lahden Seurahuone is a a high-class conference hotel located by the main street ín the city centre of Lahti. It has 455 beds and meeting rooms for up to 200 persons.
Scandic Lahti City has 302 beds and Green Star Hotel 250.
Mukkula Manor House
Mukkula Manor is a unique boutique hotel with a sophisticated design by the beautiful Lake Vesijärvi, 10 minutes from Lahti city centre. It offers 17 hotel rooms, 3 meeting
facilities.
Olympic Training Centre Vierumäki
In Vierumäki Resort area there are 1430 beds. For hotel accommodation you can choose for example new Hotel Fennada, Country Club or Holiday Club Vierumäki. There is also hostel class accommodation, golf resort villas, cabins and chalets available.
Olympic Training Centre Pajulahti
Pajulahti offers accommodation for up to 900 persons in comfortable sport standard and well-equipped hotel standard rooms.

There are two official Olympic Training Centres in the Lahti Region. In addition to professional sports facilities and beautiful surrounding natural environment, they offer versatile and high-quality venues and accommodation for meetings and congresses.

Forest Hall in Sibelius Hall
Forest Hall is the heart of Sibelius Hall connecting the different parts of the building to each other. The 1000 m² Forest Hall is ideal for exhibitions and hosting big conference lunches and dinners. Its capacity is max. 1,500 persons, dinners 700 persons.
NEW! Lahti Museum of Visual Arts Malva
Malva was opened in April 2022 in Malski, in an old brewery building from 1912 in Lahti city centre. Malva’s exhibitions, Malski’s restaurant world, conference center and colorful museum shop form an entity which is unique in the whole Finland.
In addition to its visual arts exhibitions, Malva and Malski are also suitable for many occasions. In Malski conference centre there are seven meeting rooms of various sizes and a 400-square-meter meeting, banquet or concert room Sammiosali. In Malva there are also multi-purpose rooms, for example an art workshop and a Light Gallery which is ideal for dinners of 100 persons.
Lehmonkärki Resort
Lehmonkärki Resort offers a high-quality selection of banquet and meeting facilities, as well as saunas, restaurants and additional services. by Lake Päijänne, 40 minutes from Lahti city centre. One of the most special banquet halls is Villa Vellamo, suitable for events for 150–200 guests. Its interior was designed by dSign Vertti Kivi & Co., an internationally acclaimed agency.
Lehmonkärki offers accommodation facilities for 130 people, with a view over the lake.
Piano Pavilion
Piano Pavilion is located in Lahti Harbour right next to Sibelius Hall. The Pavilion was designed by architecture Renzo Piano and is part of the Lahti Wood Architecture Park.
The interior of the pavilion can accommodate max. 50 guests according to the type of furniture. On a 200-square-meter terrace, there are room for fifty people to admire the magnificent sun on the lake during the summer.
Motorcycle Museum
The Motorcycle Museum is located in Niemi Harbour, just 5 minutes from Lahti city centre. The museum collections include a wide range from beautifully restored world rarities to Finnish racing and hobby bikes. The museum opened a new 1930´s style Art Deco showroom in 2021.
The museum houses also the only Ace Cafe restaurant in the Nordic countries. There are 140 seats in the resraurant.
Restaurant Voitto
Restaurant Voitto is a unique space located in Lahti Sports Centre. From its window walls open a one-of-a-kind view to the famous three ski jumps and the stadium area. Voitto has restaurnat seats for 120 persons and an auditorium for 80 persons.
Voitto is located in the Ski Museum building and therefore, it is a great idea to combine a dinner to a museum visit and a playful challenge in the ski jump simulator of the museum.
Ski Jump Tower
This is a Lahti Classic! The covered observation deck of the highest ski jump tower Suurmäki is perfect for cocktail parties and dinners. The deck can comfortably accommodate 20 persons for a dinner and 30 persons for cocktails.
Kalliokammi in Vierumäki
Combine Finnish smoke sauna experience to a candlelight dinner in an atmospheric northern style log cabin Kalliokammi. Kalliokammi is located in Vierumäki and is suitable for dinners of 20 persons. Kalliokammi’s specialty is a front-cooked dinner.
Mukkula Manor House
Mukkula Manor is a unique boutique hotel with a sophisticated design by the beautiful Lake Vesijärvi, 10 minutes from Lahti city centre. It offers 17 hotel rooms, 3 meeting facilities, a high-quality restaurant and a lakeside sauna – the perfect setting for meetings, events, dinner parties.

Lahti – a hundred years of hosting sporting events
For more than a hundred years, international sporting events have been organised in the Lahti region. Lahti has for example hosted the FIS Ski World Championships already seven times. In 2023 we had the honour to host the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships. In addition to the annual Lahti Ski Games world cup event, Finlandia Ski Marathon, staples include Ironman 70.3 Finland, Redbull 400 and, recent additions that make use of the UNESCO Salpausselkä Geopark’s natural venue, Nordic Gravel Series and FNLD GRVL cycling events.
Congress organizers warmly recommend Finland.

It’s all a huge amount of work, but if the conference is significant in the field and it succeeds very well, it is most definitely worth it. Still weeks later I hear people talking very positively
about our conference half-way across the world.
According to the survey, 97 % of the congress organizers said that arranging the congress was either quite or very useful on a professional level. 83% said that it was very useful and 10% quite useful either to the science or to the reputation of Finland.
