Lahti Museum of Visual Arts Malva is a new museum full of art, design, posters and culture in Lahti, less than a 50-minute trip from Helsinki.

Tiirismaa Winter Trail -trail running
Snowy trails invite runners to the Tiirismaa Winter Trail event. Event center is located in Messilä, as in summer edition, and will offer high standard facilities for runners. Routes are: night event around 10–15 km and day event around 10–27 km. Registration is now open.
Finlandia Ski Marathon
More than 50-year-old legendary mass skiing event offers distances of 20km, 32km and 62km with classic or free style in the most beautiful Salpausselkä UNESCO Global Geopark scenery. In the year the event launches paraskiing categories as well. Atmosphere, service stations and outstanding feelings at the finish line – all will be ready for the skiers again on February!
Lahti Ski Games – FIS Nordic Ski World Cup
Towards the next 100 years!
The most traditional annual event in the region is Lahti Ski Games. Event brings together again the international stars of cross-country skiing, ski jumping and nordic combined to compete for the World Cup points. Side events, food and drinks, tens of thousands of spectators – it’s all about the Salpausselkä spirit!
Tiirismaa Trail -trail running
Tiirismaa Trail conquers the slopes of Messilä and the trails of Salpausselkä Geopark at the end of July. There are both ups and downs, winding paths and wonderful landscapes on the highest hills in Southern Finland. Event center is located in Messilä with high standard facilities.
Gravel Earth Series – Falling Leaves Lahti
World-class gravel roads have become familiar at the Falling Leaves Lahti, where 50, 100, 145 and 180 kilometer routes are offered. In addition, you may take part for an overnight 300 kilometers route on the best gravel roads in Southern Finland. The 180-kilometer distance is one race of the Gravel Earth Series.
Annual Sibelius Festival
The Sibelius Festival brings together friends of Sibelius’ music from across the globe, as the Lahti Symphony Orchestra invites followers of Finland’s national composer to a wonderful celebration in the acoustically splendid setting of Sibelius Hall.
