Lahti Travel Centre is a transport hub bringing local and long-haul traffic and different modes of transport together seamlessly. From this link you can access a route guide service including all modes of public transport and the the whole of Finland.

Long-haul buses – Matkahuolto

The Matkahuolto service point is open from Monday to Friday at 07:00–19:00 for both travel and parcel services.
All long-haul express buses use the Travel Centre bus terminal as their stop in Lahti, and long-haul buses leave from the platforms in front of the train station.
In regional traffic, bus operators have their own routes that may not necessarily run by the Travel Centre. All routes and all stops on all routes can be checked from the Matkahuolto website’s timetable search at www.matkahuolto.fi.
You can also get timetable and price information from the national service telephone line at +358 (0)200 4000 that is open 24/7. The price of a call is EUR 1.99 per min + local network charge.
With parcel services, national free-of-charge service lines +358 (0)800 132 582 for consumers and +358 (0)20 710 5024 for companies help on Mon–Fri at 08:00–18:00.

You can access the train tracks via the underpasses along Vesijärvenkatu-Uudenmaankatu. Search for timetables and buy your train ticket in advance from the online shop.

Local public transport
The bus stops of local public transport are located along Mannerheiminkatu and Vesijärvenkatu, which run past the Travel Centre. Almost all local buses pass through these streets. You can see the schedules of Lahti Region Transport (LSL) here.
You can buy a mobile ticket from an app you can download from App Store or Google Play. The app works on the newest Android and iOS phones.
Charter buses, taxis and dropping off passengers
A taxi stand is located in front of the Travel Centre. The charter bus platform is located in connection with the arrivals platforms in front of the terminal. It is possible to stop for 15 minutes in front of the station when dropping off a passenger.
Maintenance of the area and feedback
Several different actors, such as VR, the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency and the City of Lahti, are responsible for the maintenance of the station. The Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency’s maintenance service line number is +358 295 020 600 (Mon–Fri at 09:00–16:00).

Park & Ride at Lahti Travel Centre
The construction of the western side of the Travel Centre is underway. Parking in the Travel Centre area is subject to a charge. Parking areas are marked with the following symbols:

Bicycle parking
The covered bicycle parking (room for 230 bicycles) is located in the station tunnel on the eastern edge of Vesijärvenkatu. There is CCTV, a bicycle maintenance point and a possibility for locking your bicycle’s frame. Some of the racks have two tiers.
Bicycle parking at the station’s courtyard for approx. 100 bicycles, not covered. Bicycle parking also on the southern side of the train station along Uudenmaankatu for 36 bicycles; locking the frame is possible.
Accessibility
Different levels can be accessed by both lifts and stairs. The lifts are equipped with sound beacons and have been designed to fit a wheelchair with sufficient space to also turn.
There are signs in Braille on handrails and in connection with lifts. Tactile paving has been installed on pedestrian paths and the track areas with either surface indicators or detectable warnings.
There is an assistance point in front of the station building on the city side. Taxis and dropping-off traffic are located in the vicinity of the assistance point.
