Buy onlineStay in your own floating holiday cottage on Lake Päijänne. Houseboat.fi rents 11 houseboats for 2–8 people from Heinola harbour (Satamatie 4), about 140 km and 1.5 hours by car from Helsinki Airport, with free parking.
Each boat is a fully equipped holiday home: cabins, living room, kitchen, shower and WC, terrace deck, free Wi-Fi and its own wood-fired sauna on the back deck. Choose Eco-Wood 21 or 36 with a fireplace, Luxe 24, Spa 24 with an outdoor hot tub, or DeLuxe 42 with a 30 m² roof terrace.
No boating licence is needed – every guest gets a one-hour captain’s briefing, and you can explore the lake at your own pace. Through the Kalkkinen canal you reach the islands and sandy beaches of Päijänne National Park.
