Guided walking tour on Pulkkilanharju in Päijänne National Park
Welcome to a guided walking tour along the Pulkkilanharju Nature Trail in Päijänne National Park!
On this 2 km trail, you’ll hear stories about King Gustav III’s surprising plans for the ridge, find out where the Helsinki region gets its drinking water, and discover what the landscape would look like without the last Ice Age.
Pulkkilanharju is one of the key sites in the Salpausselkä UNESCO Global Geopark. Along the way, we’ll explore how glaciers and water shaped the scenery and hear fascinating tales from the shores of Lake Päijänne.
The trail follows an easy pine forest path through stunning ridge and lake views. Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and shoes suitable for a forest path.
Note: The tour is not accessible for people with reduced mobility.
