This scenic self-drive journey begins at Töyrylä Manor House in Artjärvi, a charming family estate 105 km from Helsinki Airport, offering accommodation in beautifully restored interiors filled with antique furnishings and nostalgic country-house atmosphere. The route continues via Lahti and Old Vääksy village to Sysmä, travelling along the breathtaking Pulkkilanharju ridge. Stay by Lake Päijänne at boutique Hotel Ilola Inn and enjoy the peaceful lake scenery. From Sysmä, continue to Mänttä to visit the renowned Serlachius Museums and explore nearby nature trails, before heading to the Tampere region. The tour concludes at Vaihmalan Hovi Manor near Lake Vanaja, with opportunities for kayaking, spa treatments and other relaxing activities.
