Come and explore one of Finland’s oldest manor museums!
Urajärvi Manor Museum is located in the village of Urajärvi in Asikkala, on the southern shore of Lake Urajärvi. The Urajärvi manor belonged for nearly 250 years to the Baltic German von Heideman family. The last members of the family, siblings Lilly (1849–1917) and Hugo (1851–1915) von Heideman, bequeathed their beloved family home to be maintained as a museum.

The Empire-style main building presents the siblings’ atmospheric home as it was at the turn of the 20th century. The old wing building houses a museum founded by the siblings during their lifetime, displaying older family artefacts. Immerse yourself in the life of the von Heideman family by joining a guided tour through the manor’s beautifully conserved interiors.

Enjoy a walk along the paths and viewpoints of the charming park surrounding the manor, and take a refreshing dip in the clear waters of Lake Urajärvi from the manor’s bathing hut. Afterwards, treats are available at the Hugo & Lilly Café. In July, the area also hosts performances by the Urajärvi Manor Theatre as part of its annual summer theatre production.
