Lahti Historical museum

Modern content can be found inside the walls of the old bourgeois home – exhibitions, events and activities.

Located in the pink manor house, Lahti Historical Museum is near the city centre of Lahti with great transport connections. The museum is also near Lake Vesijärvi and within great walking distances from Lahti Market Square and the Lahti Harbour.

The exhibition “A Favourable Place” delves into the everyday history of Päijät-Häme from the post-ice age era to the present day. This exhibition, located on the first floor, features an immersive exhibition within a historical manor setting, offering stories and peculiar experiences for the whole family including history enthusiasts.

Guided tours are only possible when booking in advance. We offer guided tours in Finnish, English and Swedish. Booking via the museum website.
