Within one year, two significant Finnish films were filmed in Lahti. Family movie Supermarsu - Super Furball - and the film Veljeni vartija telling the story of the Finnish rap artist Cheek and his twin brother both premiered in January 2018. Lahti region aims to attract film and television productions as they can increase visibility and awareness and, in that way, create financial gain.

"Primarily, there has to be a content-driven reason for locating a film production in somewhere. Great facilities and financial incentives affect, of course. The Supermarsu film was shot in Lahti with the story as a number one priority."

- Marko Talli, Producer, Yellow Film & TV

"We really enjoyed the "we can do it" attitude we encountered in our partners from Lahti. People were positive and hard-working and always looking for solutions. We will be happy to shoot here again any time."

- Annika Sucksdorff, Producer, Helsinki-filmi Oy
