Kujala Waste Centre is the Finland’s most important business and innovation centre in the recycling industry.These pioneering innovations have interested also many international high-level delegations.

Kujala Waste Centre was completed in 2001 - sorting terminal being the latest addition in 2016. Kujala Waste Centre covers a site of 70 hectares in total.45 people of Päijät-Häme Waste Management Ltd work at the site daily – but the site is also a home to LABIO Ltd’s biogas and composting plant, Tarpaper Recycling Finland Ltd’s roofing felt processing facility, Gasum Ltd’s biogas production and upgrading facility, NCC Roads Ltd’s asphalt facility, and Kekkilä Ltd’s soil processing plant.
